A comprehensive, flexible end-to-end wireless security solution when used in conjunction with a FortiGate firewall. Wireless is managed by the integrated wireless controller in the FortiGate network security platform, delivering comprehensive and proven threat protection. Separating the corporate and guest network allows for greater segregation between managed and non-managed devices keeping a distinct barrier between secure and non-secure devices.

Setup

One corporate Wi-Fi network will be setup per location
  • Corporate Wi-Fi may be combined with wired LAN connections
  • Corporate Wi-Fi will have access to domain servers/resources
  • Standard Antivirus, Web Filter and IPS policies will be applied
  • Only corporate owned machines (including printers and MFPs) that are protected by the managed service offering, are allowed on wired LAN and corporate Wi-Fi
  • Passphrase security
    • Minimum of WPA/WPA2 Personal
    • Passphrase will be entered by the Service Provider or Service Desk
One Guest Wi-Fi network will be setup per location
  • Guest Wi-Fi will have internet access only, it will not connect to resources on the corporate network
  • Standard Antivirus, Web Filter and IPS policies will be applied
  • All personal machines and mobile devices will use Guest Wi-Fi
  • Passphrase security
    • Minimum of WPA/WPA2 Personal
